ABOUT KIKINO SILVER BIRCH RESORT

The Adrian Hope Silver Birch Resort and Campground is dedicated to the memory of Kikino Métis Settlement elder, historian and poet, Mr. Adrian Hope.
In 1959 Adrian moved to the Kikino Métis Settlement. His first home was a log cabin Adrian built on the southwestern shores of Whitefish lake where the Silver Birch resort and campground is presently located. Looking out the window of the log cabin, Adrian would also often marvel at the pristine beauty of Whitefish Lake. He had a vision to develop the area as a resort.

Adrian saw and often talked about the area’s tourism potential and wanted the people of the Kikino Métis Settlement to benefit economically from the land. His vision became a reality and in 1985 the Adrian Hope Silver Birch resort and campground emerged.

Adrian passed away on January 31, 1986 at the age of 83 and we are proud to dedicate a portion of this website to him. A legacy left for all of us to enjoy.
